Application Services Overview

Provides a range of utility services to applications, including alarms, logging, system information, and vCard and vCalendar handling.

Functionality is provided by a number of APIs. Use them as follows:

Alarm Server Overview

Provides alarm services.

Calendar Conversion Overview

Converts dates between Gregorian and Chinese calendars.

Log Engine Overview

Used to records events of interest to the user, of which they may not be immediately aware, or of high importance as costs are incurred, such as telephone calls.

System Agent Overview

Provides a central repository of information about the state, particularly relating to power and communications, of the EPOC machine.

Versit Overview

Reads and writes the vCard (electronic business cards) and vCalendar (calendaring and scheduling) standards.

World Server Overview

Provides access to a database of information about cities and countries.
